The City of Perth has signed up to the campaign, Racism It Stops With Me. The Mayor, Hon Lisa Scaffidi, links this fairly and squarely to their community vision. The Citys Vision 2029 document specifically refers to a future where cultural diversity and equality is celebrated and advocated. It foresees a city which respects and celebrates the diversity of its people and lifestyles, Ms Scaffidi said. This campaign has the potential to make a practical difference, but it is also an important symbol of leadership.
