A national foundation has been established to tackle the issue of domestic and family violence. The foundation will focus on harnessing community energy to combat violence and inequality and support existing endeavours in this area. In acknowledging the integral role of local government in communities, a spokesperson said that local government will be asked to contribute to the establishment of the foundation and inform its ongoing work.
